"Thou shall not Kill"
Then, either by ordering his flock to take up the sword, or by his very own hand, the god of the Bible proceeds to kill upwards of two million men, women and children. Slaughtered without mercy or compassion, and showing no sign of remorse.
All this carnage just so the Lord can quench an unabating thirst for human blood.
So needless to say the bible is rife with hypocrisy.
Not much consistancy is shared from one account of the Gospel to the next. But Jesus is repeatedly and emphatically quoted as demanding the 'Honour killing' of every disobedient child on Earth. A prerequisite for a heavenly reward.
Dangling the divine carrot too close for comfort, perhaps.
Christian Bible
Matthew 15:
4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and,He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
And yet again:
Christian Bible
Mark 7
5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?
This seemiling benign inquiry angers Jesus, and his blood waxed hot, he decides not to turn the other cheek:
10 "For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:" ~ Jesus Christ
Really Jesus..Death?
Isn't that a bit harsh?
Is that really the best advice you could come up with to present to your captive audience, who in-turn hangs upon your every word?
No time out, or with-holding a fruity snack?
...but to advocate the murder of children?
How could things get any worse?
Christian Bible
Luke 14:26-27
“If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple. Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.” ~ Jesus Christ
I'm greatful to the handful of Christians who choose to ignore Jesus on these Commandments.
But I'll leave you with a sobering image.
What if we don't accept Jesus as our saviour?
