I would say this is the most ridiculous video I have watched recently, but there’s still Cindy Jacobs, William Tapley, Pat Robertson, Todd Bentley, Lou Engle, David Barton… and unfortunately, that list can go on and on and on and on.
In this particularly ridiculous video Rick Joyner claims that prayers regrow amputated limbs, and the best/saddest part is he can’t even say it with a straight face:Of course, as with all of these stories, the facts are vague and there is no evidence whatsoever to substantiate the outlandish claim.
The sad part here, as always, is the credulity and desperation these claims prey on: people really do get horribly sick, they really do suffer terrible accidents, and unfortunately, there are always snake-oil salesmen wearing sheep’s clothing ready to pounce on these frail and hurting souls.
I’ve deconstructed these sorts of claims so many times I find myself recently not caring to restate myself yet once again. Who knows, maybe in the future my indignation will return and I will fully flesh out the ridiculousness and impossibility of such claims, but today: Joyner is a bad liar making ridiculous claims.
Let’s see what YouTube has to say!
