The U.S. Air Force has provoked outrage by removing a Latin reference to God on one of its logos after complaints from a military atheist group. The Rapid Capabilities Office patch included a motto until several weeks ago in Latin saying: ‘Doing God’s Work with Other People’s Money’.But this was altered to ‘Doing Miracles with Other People’s Money’ after the Military Association of Atheists and Freethinkers kicked up a fuss.

Which sounds like a veiled way of wishing harm on them, Rank. Not surprising, though, considering what you think of atheists and those of other religions. Just remember, your bible tells you that your arrogance and judgement are sins.

Kinda wish there were more Atheists in foxholes.
They're already there, more than you know, defending your freedoms alongside believers.

Katrix,
Then it's you who should beware.
As usual, you mis-judge me. More Atheists in foxholes means they would convert faster.
Secondly, you don't know what I think of those of other religions, despite what I might think about Atheists.
"Judge not, lest you be judged."

Yeah Rank, it's going to take some real good religious double talk to walk that comment back. I sincerely hope you will someday reject all forms of religious, anger, violence and bigotry, whether benign or implied, your religion or not. Much more truth, beauty, and happiness will come to you. Thanks

Love to see some of these 99% who don't serve in the military who are atheists serve one six year hitch and one tour in a combat zone... then lets see whose who!!!

Good, the govnt should not be promoting a religion. We are not a xtian nation, we are a secular one, and it needs to remain that way.

You'd think Christians would be equally glad the patch was removed since it implies God's work consists of going on bombing runs and that he has a stake in international politics. From reading the Bible I'd say if God wants to destroy something he's got fire and brimstone - he doesn't need help from the U.S. Air Force.

Good point, Andrew.
And hey - Christians, and those of all other religions or views, are still to believe what they want and celebrate as they want. This just evens the playing field.

One more battle won against the zealots who wish to have God on everything despite supposedly being a secular nation. That patch disrespects everyone who fought and perhaps died in the military who didn't believe in God or the Christian God.

As if the world needs more ignorance and bigotry.
And I don't believe in the concept of sin, Rank - so why would I beware? Sin is a religious construct that has no basis in reality or logic. My morals aren't dependent on some egotistical deity; I try to do the right thing simply because it's right. I don't follow a book that condones rape, slavery and mass murder because I find it extremely immoral.
