In the race for the Washington state senate between Republicans and Democrats one contestant is rearing a punch for voters to take notice: marital status.
In an email to supporters Thursday, Republican Senator Michael Baumgartner connected his opponent's marital status as a reason of her not understanding Plan B contraceptives as wrong to underage girls without a prescription.
'You don't need to be married to know that Baumgartner's anti-choice position is out of touch,' a campaign consultant for Democratic Senator Maria Cantwell struck back on the email received by the Seattle Times.

I guess Republicans believe if you are not married then you are not eligible for public office, you are only eligible to be a priest or a nun.
